Tork Kratos electric bike with 120 km range launched on a full charge

Tork Motors on Wednesday announced the launch of the new Tork Kratos electric bike in India. The new battery-powered motorcycle is priced at Rs 1.02 lakh. This is the effective ex-showroom Delhi price of Tork Kratos electric bike inclusive of subsidy. The company has introduced the bike in two versions – Kratos and Kratos R.

Along with the launch, the company has also started booking for both versions. Customers wishing to buy this e-bike can book it by paying just Rs 999 on the company’s official website, where bookings are currently open. The deliveries of these electric bikes are going to happen by April this year.

Tork Kratos Electric Bike Battery power and speed

The Tork Kratos electric motorcycle gets an IP67-rated 4 Kwh lithium-ion battery pack with a system voltage of 48V. It has an IDC range of 180 km while the real-world range is 120 km. The top speed of this bike is 100kmph. It gets an axial flux type electric motor with a maximum power of 7.5 kW and maximum torque of 28 Nm. The company claims that this bike achieves an initial speed of 0 to 40kmph in 4 seconds. Whereas the higher-spec Kratos R gets a more powerful motor that delivers 9.0Kw of power and 38 Nm of torque. It has a top speed of 105kmph as compared to the standard model.

Tork Kratos Electric Bike Features

The Tork Kratos electric bike packs an IP67-rated lithium-ion battery pack that comes in an aluminum alloy casing to ensure water damage protection. Kratos will come with a fast-charging system that will charge the battery from 0 to 80 percent in just one hour. However, fast charging is only available on the Kratos R motorcycle. It will also get some other additional connectivity features. It has been made available with features like Geofencing, Find My Vehicle feature, Motorwalk Assist, Crash Alert, Vacation Mode, Track Mode Analysis as well as Smart Charge Analysis.

The bike will have the company’s own operating system, named Tork Intuitive Response Operating System (TIROS) (Tork Intuitive Response Operating System). This system will collect and analyze the data for each ride. It will monitor key components like real-time power consumption, power management, and range forecasting. Apart from this, the 4.3-inch TFT screen is equipped with features like anti-theft and app and cloud connectivity.

Tork Kratos Electric Bike Color Option

The standard model is available in only one white color option. While the hi-spec model comes with a range of color options like white, blue, red, and black.

The new Tork Kratos EV will be made available across India in a phased manner. In the initial phase, it will be launched in major Indian cities like Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Delhi. Whereas in the second phase the motorcycle will be taken to more cities.
