A new electric car (battery car) powered by Hyundai is about to be launched in India. Hyundai will launch its electric car Hyundai IONIQ 5 in India by 2022, the information of which has been revealed in a report. According to the report, the company itself has informed that by this year the company will introduce its electric car. However, the carmaker has not yet disclosed the launch date. It is believed that this car can come to India during the festive season around Diwali.

Let us tell you that the Hyundai Ioniq 5 has already been launched in the global market. It comes with two powertrain options. Apart from this, two battery pack options of 72.6kWh and 58kWh are also available in the car. This car was also spotted some time back during testing on Indian roads. Looking at the pictures of this car spotted on the roads, it seems that this car is going to come with a very advanced and great design.
Hyundai IONIQ 5 Electric Car
The Ioniq 5 is based on the Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). It comes with two battery options – 58 kWh and 72.6 kWh, offering a maximum range of up to 480 km (WLTP cycle). Customers get the option to choose between a single-motor or dual-motor variant. The base version comes with an electric motor that drives the rear wheels. Its output is 165 bhp and 350 Nm. It can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 8.5 seconds.
Further, the single-motor version powered by a 72.6 kWh battery offers a range of up to 480 km. The electric motor outputs 211 bhp and 350 Nm. The dual-motor version packs 298 bhp and 605 Nm and is claimed to reach 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds.
Let us tell you that the Ioniq 5 will be the second electric car in India after Hyundai’s Kona EV. It is being told that after its launch in India, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 will compete with the Kia EV6, which is going to come to India soon.
