BMW Motorrad India on Tuesday launched the 2021 BMW S 1000 R naked sports bike in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 17,90,000. The 2021 S 1000 R bike has been launched in India as a Completely Built-up Unit (CBU). The company has started booking the new motorcycle at all BMW Motorrad India dealerships.
2021 BMW S 1000 R Price in India
The all-new S 1000 R bike is made available in three trims – Standard, Pro, and Pro M Sport. All prices are ex-showroom.
- The 2021 BMW S 1000 R standard variant price is Rs 17.90,000.
- The 2021 BMW S 1000 R Pro variant price is Rs 19.75,000.
- The 2021 BMW S 1000 R Pro M Sport variant price is Rs 22.50,000.
BMW S 1000 R New Style and Look
The new S 1000 R has been launched with a lot of updates compared to its previous model. Completely new styling has been given in the exterior of this bike. This bike has been given an updated engine and many electronic features. The new bike has a 6.5-inch TFT multifunctional instrument panel, in which much important information is available during the driving of the bike.
BMW S 1000 R Color
The new 2021 BMW S 1000 R has been introduced in several color options. Apart from the basic Racing Red non-metallic color, the Style Sport option of the bike has been offered with Hockenheim Silver Metallic. The rear frame section and engine side cover are offered with matte copper metallic components as well as gray anodized components that reveal the roadster’s technical highlights. It also gets an M Motorsport paint finish, which is available with the Style Sport and M Package options.
BMW S1000R Engine
The new 2021 S1000R bike gets a 999 cc inline 4-cylinder liquid-cooled engine with Euro 5/BS-VI fuel emission. This engine generates maximum power of 165 bhp at 11,000 rpm and peak torque of 114 Nm at 9,250 RPM. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
4 Driving Modes
The bike gets four driving modes – Rain, Road, Dynamic and Dynamic Pro as standard. These riding modes are configured for performance and safety features like Engine (Throttle), Engine Brake, Traction Control, Wheelie Control, ABS, and ABS Pro.

The Indian-spec BMW S1000R motorcycle is similar to the units sold in the international markets. The BMW S1000R will compete with the recently launched Ducati Streetfighter V4 naked sports bike in India.
