Between April and December, Electric Cars in India sold a total of 1,554 units in 2019. During this period, 669 units of Tata Tigor EV (Tata Tigor Electric Vehicle) were sold.
Mahindra e-Verito was second in the list of sales of electric cars in the Indian automobile market. 563 units of Mahindra e-Verito were sold between April-December 2019. While Hyundai’s Kona Electric (Kona Electric) sold 292 units. At the same time, 30 units of Mahindra e20 went on sale.

However, according to the Tata Motors website, the booking of Tata Tigor EV has started. This car can be booked by paying only five thousand rupees. This car has been launched in three variants XE +, XM +, and XT +. Tata Motors has extended the battery range in the new Tigor as compared to the old electric Tigor, allowing it to travel longer distances.

At the same time, Tata Motors has also started the delivery of the Tigor EV. Recently the first Tigor EV XT + variant was also delivered in Mumbai. The price of this variant is Rs 10.75 lakh, while the initial variants XE + are priced at Rs 10.44 lakh and XM + is priced at Rs 10.61 lakh. The company believes that being a city car, people travel a limited distance of 150 km in the city, which is enough for this car in terms of 213 km. At the same time, Tata Tigor EV has a top speed of 80 km per hour, which is quite from the city point of view.
