Tata Punch Micro SUV Launched in India
Tata’s micro SUV H2X concept was showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo, later it was called HBX and Hornbill. Recently Tata has revealed its exact name and named it Tata Punch, which can be launched soon in the festive season. At the same time, even before the launch, Tata Punch micro SUV has started reaching dealerships and dealers have also started taking bookings unofficially.
Tata Punch Exterior
Recently, Orange color Tata Punch was spotted near a dealership in Balewadi, Pune. The Tata Punch is built on the Alpha-Arc (Advanced Light Flexible Advanced Architecture) and Impact 2.0 design language. The Punch will be the second car to be built on this platform after the Tata Altroz premium hatchback. In the product lineup, the Tata Punch will be placed below the compact SUV Tata Nexon. At the same time, the engine will be of Altroz.
Although Tata has not officially announced its booking, some dealers are booking it for Rs 21,000. The Tata Punch 5-seater micro SUV will fall in the sub-4 meter category. At the same time, it will be launched with a two-tone color scheme. It will get integrated door handles on the C-pillar. Also, plastic body cladding, large front bumper, split headlamps with LED DRLs, and LED tail lamps will be available. Larger 16-inch alloy wheels will be given in the new SUV.
Tata Punch Interior
It will get a large comfortable cabin, in which five people can sit. The top variant will get a semi-digital instrument cluster, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with floating display unit, height-adjustable driver seat, and flat-bottom steering wheel. Apart from this, push-button start, cruise control, rear armrest with cup holders, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking camera will be available. At the same time, for the first time in this segment, the Tata Punch will get sand, mud, and rock traction modes with hill descent control.
Tata Punch Engine
It will get only a petrol engine, which will be available in Tiago, Tigor, and Altroz. It will get a 1.2 liter naturally aspirated, 3-cylinder petrol engine, which will make 86 hp power and 115 Nm torque. At the same time, it will get the option of a 5-speed manual transmission AMT. At the same time, it will be launched later with the turbo variant. The company is also planning to offer an option of CNG in it.
Tata Punch Price
Tata’s mini SUV Tata Punch will compete with Maruti Ignis, Mahindra KUV100. It is expected that the Punch can be launched in the ex-showroom price of Rs 5 to 8.5 lakhs. The company plans to keep its price low and challenge the Maruti Swift, Hyundai i10 NIOS, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, and the upcoming SUV Citroen C3.
