Often we are on the hunt for Truly Wireless Earbuds (TWS) that provide a great sound experience in our daily routine. But along with good sound quality, there is often a lack of great fitting TWS. To fill this gap, Sennheiser has recently launched Sennheiser CX Plus in its Truly Wireless Earbuds series. Priced at Rs 14,990, the CX Plus has many special features, including noise cancellation (ANC) and an IPX4 rating.

Sennheiser CX Plus Design
Coming to the box contents of this TWS, you will get to see things like the charging case, earbuds, charging cable, customer manual, and warranty card that come with almost all earbuds and talk about the design, as soon as you remove its charging case So the people sitting around you will definitely see it once and try to take it in hand. Its charging case attracts the attention of the people. Although it is made of plastic the quality is very good. It will give you a feel of its quality when you hold it in your hand or put it in your ears.
The case has been subjected to rough and tough use and mild scratches can be seen which can happen with any case. But if you keep the case with care, then there will be no scratch of any kind on it. Its charging case is quite compact, just like the AirPods Pro case, making it easy to fit into one’s pockets.
It comes in 2 color options – Black and White. I am using white-colored earbuds. In this, a single LED light has been given at the front which changes color only at the time of charging. The Type-C charging port is given on the rear side of the case.
Sennheiser CX Plus Fit
The earbuds fit snugly in the ear along with the charging case. You do not have any kind of irritation after applying them. They can be easily used even while exercising. Since they fit snugly in the ears, there is absolutely no chance of them falling. Often I used these buds during cycling and running, which my experience was very good. They get an IPX4 rating for water resistance. This means that these buds can withstand splashes of water and will survive perspiration.
Sennheiser CX Plus Performance
The CX Plus True Wireless Earbuds deliver a high-quality listening experience. Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) function has been provided in this wireless earphone, which allows users to experience clear sound without any hassle. If we talk about ANC, then it is successful in completely eliminating the noise of the outside world. Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), as well as Transparency Mode, have been given which provides the experience of paying attention to outside noises without taking out the earbuds. This feature especially helps to let outside noises in.
In performance, the CX Plus is well balanced, clear, and delivers great stereo sound. This is what I liked the most about the CX Plus. In terms of base, it is good. I have called at a very crowded place and my voice can be heard clearly in front of the person. Also, the background noise was not completely eliminated. Overall, the microphone of this Buds is amazing. At the same time, Sennheiser gives EQ setting in it, which makes the sound quality better. It can be used during movies.
How To Use Sennheiser CX Plus Earbuds
Using the Sennheiser CX Plus is quite easy. If you don’t want to use them, you can put them back in the case, and once paired, they will connect to your phone in a few seconds. The company has Sennheiser’s app for Android and iOS that allows you to update firmware and change settings. I used these buds connected to my OnePlus 9 and Apple MacBook Air, but, note that the CX Plus can only be connected to one device at a time.
Also, the earbuds support Bluetooth 5.2. It supports ADTX and older Bluetooth codecs, including AAC and SBC. You can toggle the transparent mode on and off with a single tap on the left earpiece. At the same time, playback can be controlled with a single tap on the right buds. Also, a double-tap on the panel controls track navigation, while a triple tap on the right side turns on the phone’s voice assistant. At the same time, you can also change these settings in the app.
Sennheiser CX Plus Battery Life
Regarding the Sennheiser CX Plus, the company claims that you will get nine hours of battery backup on a single charge without ANC and eight hours of battery backup with ANC from these buds. The charging case provides about 24 hours of backup. The case of these buds is charged via USB-C. But, even after the high price of these buds, the lack of wireless charging in them can make you a bit disappointed.

From fit-finish to sound quality, the Sennheiser CX Plus can be said to be top in everything. In this, you get good base quality as well as a great ear grip, which you can use during your intense workout. Its battery backup is also its life.
