Yamaha has its New Yamaha FZ-X sports bike launched in India. The FZ-X is the Japanese brand’s latest entry in the 150cc range in India, which includes the FZ and FZS naked streetfighters. Actually, the company has given the same engine in FZ-X which has been used in FZ Twins. But the FZ-X is a retro-styled motorcycle that stands out in Yamaha India’s entire lineup. The demand for motorcycles with modern features along with retro styling has increased over the years. That’s why Yamaha Motor India has launched a new neo-retro style sporty commuter bike Yamaha FZ-X in India.

The 149cc FZS-FI platform has been used in the Yamaha FZ-X motorcycle. It gets a 149cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine, which is seen in the current models of Yamaha’s FZ range. This engine generates maximum power of 12.4 bhp and a peak torque of 13.3 Nm at 7,250rpm. A 5-speed gearbox has been given with this engine.

Yamaha FZ-X Braking

Yamaha FZ-X Modern Look

The Yamaha FZ-X’s retro design language highlights elements such as round headlamps, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, tuck and roll seats, integrated grab rails, and bellows for the front forks. The design is reminiscent of the Yamaha XSR range that is available in the international markets. However, the new Yamaha FZ-X gets a bi-functional LED headlight with LED DRLs, a sleek LED taillight, blacked-out mechanical bits, black alloy wheels, and an upswept exhaust to keep this old-school styling from looking new-age has gone.

Silver headlamp bracket and silver panel have been used which further enhances the overall look of the motorcycle. It gets a high handlebar and neutral-set footpegs, which makes the FZ-X quite comfortable for long-distance driving.
