Maruti WagonR Electric Car Report
Maruti Suzuki had announced to bring EV in the year 2018 but till now the company has not launched any EV. According to the report, Suzuki can launch its first electric car in India by the year 2025. According to the report, the new electric vehicle will first be launched in India, and then in other markets like Suzuki’s home market Japan and Europe.

The hatchback is expected to take 7 hours to fully charge the battery via a standard charger. The company can also offer a fast-charger option with it, which will take less than an hour to charge the car’s battery from 0 to 80 percent. According to the report, the WagonR EV can cover a distance of more than 200 km on a single full battery charge. With this driving range, it can become one of the best city electric cars for personal and commercial use in the country.
Maruti WagonR Electric Car Price
Suzuki runs its car business in India in partnership with Maruti. According to the report, the company is reportedly planning to launch an all-electric compact model for Indian customers. Although not much information has been given in the report, the price of this electric car is likely to be between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 11 lakh. It will also include government subsidies on electric vehicles, priced at around $13,626 (Rs 10,19,872).
If the report is to be believed, it will help the Japanese carmaker move faster towards electric mobility in the compact car segment. Maruti Suzuki India is currently the largest automaker in India, and also a major stronghold of the Japanese carmaker in Asian markets. Maruti Suzuki’s sales in India are mostly dominated by small, compact cars like Alto, WagonR, Baleno, and Swift.
Maruti Suzuki has been testing some electric versions of its popular car like the WagonR on Indian roads for quite some time now. There is no official confirmation of any date regarding its launch. While most of the company’s competitors have started moving towards electric mobility, or are planning to move in the near future, Maruti Suzuki has so far been offering more products based on CNG technology than electric vehicles.
