KTM is preparing to launch its popular electric Duke motorcycle these days. This information has come to the fore through a Pierer Mobility document posted on Motorcycle.com. This information regarding the preparation of Duke to be introduced in an electric avatar is big news for KMT fans. Earlier, KTM’s subsidiary Husqvarna has launched its battery-powered two-wheeler E-Pilen. It is being told that the technology for Duke Electric is being shared with E-Pilen.
Electric Duke Performance
A 5.5kWh fixed battery pack can be given in the Electric Duke. Claims are being made about the Duke electric bike that it will generate a maximum power of 10kW. This power will be roughly equal to 13.4bhp, which will be almost equal to KTM’s Duke 125 (14.5bhp). With this power output, the company can present the e-Duke as an entry-level electric bike in the market.
Electric Duke Price
In the Electric Duke, the company has used a small/medium-sized motor, which gives a hint that this electric bike can be launched at an affordable price. By limiting the performance and cost of this electric bike, the company is trying to take this bike to as many users as possible.
Electric Duke Design
The electric Duke can be offered with the bike’s exterior design with a frame and rear suspension like the original Duke. Along with this, it will be offered with body lines of KTM. Its design has been revealed from the prototype image of the electric bike.
At present, Pierer Mobility has not given any official information about when this company will launch the E-Pilen and E-Duke bikes in India. If this happens, then in India these electric bikes can be manufactured at Bajaj Auto’s Akurdi plant in Maharashtra. Pulsar maker Bajaj has announced an investment of Rs 300 crore for EV production.
