Honda Launches Honda U-GO Electric Scooter in China With A Range Of 130 km
Wuyang-Honda, the Chinese unit of Japanese automaker Honda, has launched a new Honda U-GO electric scooter in China. Honda U-GO is a slow-speed scooter. It has been manufactured at China’s Wuyang-Honda unit. This scooter has been launched in two variants. In which different power batteries have been given. The top speed of the top model is 53kmph. The top speed of its standard model will be 43 km per hour. At present, it has been launched in the Chinese market. Honda Yu-Go can be launched in the Indian market soon.
Honda U-GO Price in China
The Honda U-GO standard model price is 7,499 Chinese Yuan (Rs 85,342) and the top-model price is 7,999 Chinese Yuan (Rs 91,501). Its price in China is much lower than other e-scooters. When launched in India, it will compete with electric scooters like the Ola e-scooter, Ather 450X, Simple One.
Honda U-GO Electric Scooter Battery And Range
The low-speed model of the Yu-Go sports an 800-watt continuous hub motor that churns out 1.2 kW of peak power. Its top speed is 43kmph. Its standard model will come with a 1.2 kW continuous-rated hub motor. This motor can make a peak output of 1.8 kW. The top speed of this version is 53kmph. Both models come with a 48V and 30Ah removable lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 1.44 kWh.
It can last up to 65 km on a single charge and 130 km on both batteries. The battery pack found in both models can be removed from the scooter. This allows customers to take the battery home and charge it comfortably. The range can be extended by having more than one battery pack.
Honda U-GO Features
The scooter has an LCD screen, which gives information like speed, distance, charge, and riding mode. It gets an LED headlight with a triple beam on the front apron. It also includes an LED DRLs strip. It gets 12-inch front and 10-inch rear alloy wheels. Both the models get a bigger storage space of 26-liters.
