BMW X1 20i Tech Edition Premium Compact SAV Launched in India at Rs.43 Lakh

BMW India has the BMW X1 20i Tech Edition launched in India. The ex-showroom price of the BMW X1 20i Tech Edition in the Indian market has been fixed at Rs 43 lakhs. The premium compact sports activity vehicle (SAV) is locally manufactured at BMW Group’s plant in Chennai. Booking of limited units of the vehicle has started. Customers wishing to buy this car can book online on the official website of the car manufacturer in India.

BMW X1 20i Tech Edition look and design

The look of the new car is quite muscular. The big BMW grille up front and attractive LED headlights with LED fog lamps with air intakes make it quite attractive. It gets a dynamic wedge-shaped roofline and attractive character lines and window sills towards the rear. Talking about the rear design of the car, it has a very sporty stance, which has been given LED rear lights, body-color inlays, and large twin exhaust tailpipes. The new 18-inch alloy wheels add to the sporty visual appeal of the car.

BMW X1 20i Tech Edition engine and power

The new BMW X1 sDrive20i gets BMW TwinPower Turbo technology, a 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder petrol engine. This engine generates power of 192 hp and a peak torque of 280 Nm at 1,350 to 4,600rpm. This engine is mated to a 7-speed VASTEPtronic Sport automatic transmission. Using the Driving Experience Control switch, the driver can switch between different driving modes. This car gets 3 driving modes – ECO PRO, Comfort, and Sport.

The BMW X1 gets a new high-resolution 10.25-inch central information display with features like an iDrive controller and navigation with touch functionality. Wireless Apple CarPlay connects to the smartphone to access navigation, contacts, messages, music, and other functions. Wireless charging of mobile phones can be done from the integrated smartphone holder in the central console. Park Distance Control and a rear-view camera make parking in tight spaces easy. The new BMW heads-up display presents all travel-related information directly in front of the driver. The car gets a new 205W HiFi loudspeaker system.

The new BMW X1 sDrive20i gets BMW safety technology such as 6 airbags, Attentiveness Assistance, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) with Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Electric Parking Brake with Auto Hold, Side-Impact Protection Huh. Apart from this, an electronic vehicle immobilizer and crash sensor, ISOFIX child seat mounting, and integrated emergency spare wheel below the load floor are available.
