7-seater version of Mahindra XUV700 SUV to be launched next month
Mahindra and Mahindra launched the 5-seater version of the new SUV Mahindra XUV700 last month. The company had announced the prices of the 5-seater XUV700 SUV at that time. Now the company is preparing to launch the 7-seater version of Mahindra XUV700 SUV next month. The SUV is a three-row SUV with ADAS (Adaptive Driving Assistance System) features. However, the company has not yet announced its trim and prices. But according to the report, a recently leaked document has revealed the prices of the 7-seater XUV700. The company is making this new SUV available with many such new features which are being given for the first time in any car in this segment.
According to media reports, the ex-showroom prices of XUV700 can go up to Rs 22 lakh. Mahindra officially launched the XUV700 on August 14, which will replace the XUV500 with an initial ex-showroom price of ₹11.99 lakh. The base price has been fixed for the five-seater petrol manual version of the MX series. Reports say that Mahindra will be available in 29 variants in two trims – MX Series and AdrenoX Series.
7-seater version of Mahindra XUV700 SUV Engine Options
Mahindra XUV700 SUV has been offered two engine options. That includes a 2.0-liter mStallion turbocharged petrol and a 2.2-liter turbocharged diesel engine. The petrol engine generates power of 200 hp and torque of 380 Nm. While the diesel engine has two different tuning set-ups, one produces 1155 hp of power and 360 Nm of torque, while the other offers 185 hp of power and around 420 Nm of torque.
Apart from the base MX variant, Mahindra had also announced the prices of three other variants. These are the MX Diesel 5-Seater Manual (12.99 Lakh), AX3 Petrol 5-Seater Manual (13.99 Lakh), and AX5 Petrol 5-Seater Manual (14.99 Lakh).
Leaked documents suggest that the ex-showroom price of the diesel variant of the AX3 will be Rs 18 lakh. The AX5 diesel 5-seater variant with automatic transmission and AWD option will cost Rs 19.49 lakh ex-showroom, while the petrol variant will be priced slightly lower at Rs 18.49 lakh ex-showroom. The diesel AX5 variant with automatic transmission has been priced at Rs 17.29 lakh for the FWD 5-seater, while the ex-showroom price of the 7-seater version is Rs 17.99 lakh.
The top-of-the-line AX7 variant will cost between Rs 18.49 lakh (on-road) and Rs 21.69 lakh (on-road). While the top-spec AX7 is likely to be offered in both AWD or FWD options. The leaked document doesn’t show any manual option on the AX7 series. The top-end AX7 will get an optional pack with 7-seater automatic transmission and AWD option, which is likely to include auto door handles along with a few other features.
When Mahindra launched the base variant of the XUV700 last month, some thought that the top-end model could be priced above Rs 20 lakh. If Mahindra keeps the same prices as leaked in these documents, then it will offer the XUV700 SUV in both the 5-seater and 7-seater models at the same prices as the 5-seater SUVs Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier and The Hyundai Alcazar can compete with three-row SUVs like the Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus.
