World’s Cheapest Electric Car 2021: The common man is troubled by the price of petrol and diesel. In such a situation, people are showing great interest in battery-powered electric cars. In view of the increasing demand for electric vehicles, auto manufacturers are launching their electric models. Mumbai-based start-up company Strom Motors has introduced its entry-level electric car Strom R3. The company is describing it as the World’s Cheapest Electric Car 2021.
World’s Cheapest Electric Car 2021 Strom R3 Booking
The company has started booking Strom R3. Booking of Strom R3 can be done by depositing a token amount of Rs 10,000. Strom Motors introduced its electric car Strom R3 in the year 2018.
According to the company, the delivery of this two-seater electric car will be started from 2022 on booking this year. According to the report, the company has so far booked about 165 units of this car worth Rs 7.5 crore. This figure has been achieved in just four days.
The Strom R3 is an electric car with three wheels and two doors. This car was given two wheels at the front and one wheel at the rear. It uses reverse trike configuration. This electric car is specially designed and developed for urban areas like Mumbai, Delhi, and Bangalore. The car has a sharp design, with a dual-tone color with muscular front bumpers, LED lights, rear spoiler, sunroof, a white roof.
Strom R3 car Battery
The Strom R3 electric car gets an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery pack that generates 20 bhp of power and 90Nm of torque. It has a regenerative braking system and offers 3 driving modes – Eco, Normal, and Sports. The company claims that the top speed of this EV is 80 kilometers per hour. Car battery takes 3 hours to fully charge.
Also, the company claims that this entry-level car gives a range of up to 200 km once it is fully charged. This car will be launched in three variants. Based on the variants, it will get 120 km, 160 km, and 200 km driving range. The company says that this car has been specially designed keeping in mind those who travel 10 to 20 kilometers daily within the city. The cost of running this car is just 40 paise per kilometer. According to the company, those who drive this car will be able to save Rs 3 lakh in 3 years.
Strom R3 compact EV is equipped with features like a 12-way adjustable driver seat, 4.3-inch digital instrument console, climate control, remote keyless entry. Also, the car has an IOT-enabled continuous monitoring system and a 7-inch vertical touchscreen infotainment system with 4G connectivity, voice control, gesture control, 20GB onboard music storage, and turn-by-turn navigation.
The Strom R3 electric car has a seating capacity of two. It is expected to be offered with two captain seats or a single bench seat for 3 people. It is normally a small electric car with a length of 2,907 mm, width 1,405 mm, and height of 1,572 mm. This car’s ground clearance is 185 mm. The weight of this electric car is 550 kg. It gets 13-inch steel wheels with 155/80 section tires.
Strom Motors claims that this electric car is designed for 400-liter luggage space. In which the 300-liter in the rear of the car and 100-liter luggage in the front is available. It gets two hydraulic disc brakes at the front and a drum brake at the rear. The company is offering a warranty of 3 years / one lakh km with this entry-level EV.

Strom R3 car Price
The Strom R3 car will be offered in three variants. The starting price of this electric car is Rs 4.5 lakh. In the initial stages, the company has started booking this car only in Delhi and Mumbai. In other cities, its booking will be started soon. This EV has been introduced with a 4 color scheme. It includes electric blue, neon blue, red, and black colors.
