Facebook-owned instant messaging app WhatsApp announced a few days ago to increase the number of participants in group video calls. At the same time, now the company has confirmed this. WhatsApp Messenger’s group can now have up to 8 people simultaneous video calling.
Earlier, only 4 people could do video calling once, though only a few people have got the new update in WhatsApp, gradually everyone will get it. This feature is for both audio and video calls.
Facebook has given its information by tweeting it. Earlier this feature was seen on the beta versions of Android and iPhone of WhatsApp. After updating the video calling with eight people simultaneously, WhatsApp will compete with an app like IMO. The IMO app allows up to nine people to make video calls simultaneously.
Earlier recently, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the room feature in Messenger, saying that every day 700 million or 700 million people can use WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger for calling.
