Triumph Introduces New 2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 Range Of Adventure Bikes
Triumph Motorcycles on Tuesday introduced its new Tiger 1200 range of adventure bikes. The New 2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 range includes the Tiger 1200 GT and Tiger 1200 Rally adventure bikes (ADV). The Tiger 1200 GT range comprises three models – Tiger 1200 GT, Tiger 1200 GT Pro, and Tiger 1200 GT Explorer.
The GT, as the name suggests, is designed more road-friendly than the rally trim. It gets 19-inch front and 18-inch rear cast-aluminum wheels. The new Tiger 1200 Rally family of bikes gets a combination of 21-inch front and 18-inch rear tubeless spoke wheels. It comes in two variants – Tiger 1200 Rally Pro (20-liter tank) and Tiger 1200 Rally Explorer (30-liter tank).
2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 Engine Power
The new Tiger 1200 gets a new 1160cc engine which according to Triumph is a big step up over the previous engine. This engine has been tuned to deliver 150PS of maximum power at 9,000rpm, which is 9PS more than the previous-gen model. At this output, it has become the most powerful shaft drive motorcycle in its class. Along with this, the overall torque output is 130Nm at 7,000rpm, which is 8Nm more than the previous-gen model.
The company says that it has completely remastered the engine to give more power output. Everything is new, from the bore and stroke to the crank, cylinder head, gearbox, clutch, shaft drive, and bevel box.
2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 Features
One of the key features of the new Tiger 1200 is the use of the all-new Triumph blind spot radar system developed by the company in partnership with Continental. It is limited to GT Explorer and Rally Explorer variants only.
Other highlights of the bike include an all-new Showa semi-active suspension, a 7-inch TFT instrument with integrated My Triumph connectivity system, optimized cornering traction control with IMU, riding modes, a keyless system with ignition, steering lock, and fuel Features like cap, new LED lighting with DRLs are included.
Other features include plus adaptive cornering lights (not available on GT), Triumph Shift Assist (standard on all except GT), heated grips and seats (heated seats standard only on GT Explorer and Rally Explorer), tire pressure monitoring system (GT only). Explorer and Rally Explorer (standard) and Hill Hold (not available on the GT).
2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 Color Option
The Tiger 1200 Rally Pro and Rally Explorer are offered in three colors – Snowdonia White, Sapphire Black, and Matte Khaki. While the Tiger 1200 GT Pro and GT Explorer come in Snowdonia White, Sapphire Black, and Lucerne Blue color options. Tiger 1200 GT has been made available only in Snowdonia White color scheme.
