Tata Motors Harrier and Safari SUV’s XTA+ variants launched, know price and features
Tata Motors Harrier and Safari XTA+: India’s automaker Tata Motors on Tuesday announced the launch of XTA+ variants for its two SUVs, Harrier and Safari. The XTA+ variants of both these SUVs get a 6-speed automatic gearbox and a panoramic sunroof. Tata Motors believes that the new XTA+ variant for both these SUVs will further enhance their appeal among buyers.
The company has not made any design updates to the new variants of Harrier and Safari. The XTA+ variants are equipped with projector headlamps, dual function LED daytime running lights, R17 alloy wheels.

Tata Motors Harrier and Safari XTA+ Cabin and Features
Both the Harrier XTA+ and Safari XTA+ get a 7-inch floating island touchscreen infotainment system along with an 8-speaker audio system. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity are also available in the infotainment system.

New variants of Harrier and Safari get many features like auto headlamps, push start button, automatic temperature control, rain sensing wipers. Both the cars get dual front airbags, advanced ESP, fog lamps and reverse parking camera as standard features.
The Safari XTA+ gets iRA connected car features, mood lighting, cruise control and Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). Both the Harrier XTA+ and Safari XTA+ are powered by a 2.0-litre Kryotec diesel engine mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
Tata Motors claims that its Safari and Harrier SUVs together had 41.2 per cent market share in India’s SUV segment in the first quarter of FY12. It is being claimed that the new XTA+ variant will make both these SUVs more luxurious. The domestic automaker claims that this will help the company further strengthen its hold in the SUV segment.
The Harrier and the new generation Safari follow the IMPACT 2.0 design language of Tata Motors in styling. Both the SUVs are based on the OMEGARC platform derived from Land Rover’s famous D8 architecture.
Commenting on the launch of the new variants for both Harrier and Safari, Vivek Shreevats, Head-Marketing, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors said that the new variants will be developed keeping in mind the customer requirement of the OEMs and their new Forever Presented according to Philosophy. He further added, “Equipped with two of the most sought after features, these XTA+ variants will come equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission that will provide a smooth driving experience and a panoramic sunroof with functions like global close, anti pinch and rain sensing closure. Will happen.”
