The first three months of the upcoming year 2019 will remain very exciting for the mobile world, and of course, for all the Samsung fans. The much-awaited flagship duo Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 Plus are expected to launch in January or February month in 2019. The South Korean smartphone giant has all set to shake the market with a larger screen and advanced members of the Galaxy S series.
Expected Launch-CES or MWC?
Well, the company may either use the CES (Consumer Electronics Show), which will be held in Las Vegas in early January 2019 or the MWC (Mobile World Congress), which is going to be held in Barcelona in late February 2019.
However, as per The Korea Herald, Samsung could launch new Galaxy S10 models well ahead of its usual timeframe. As per this report, it is fairly possible that the company may announce the latest S10 and S10 Plus in the early January. In such a scenario, we can expect that these phones will be available from February 2019, which is well ahead of its traditional timeframe in March.
Rumors are also there that the company would bring three Galaxy S10 models together at CES and launch the fourth ultra premium model at MWC.
Specifications and Comparison between Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus
Though a month or two are left from the expected launch of Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus, we will compare the technical specifications that we know so far for this duo.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 is rumored to given an internal codename “Beyond”. Three devices are expected to be released together that have codenames given as Beyond 0, Beyond 1, and Beyond 2. Speculations are on that the Beyond 0 will be a new entry-level phone, whereas Beyond 1 and Beyond 2 would be the successors to the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus respectively.
SamMobile has suggested that the Galaxy S10 would have a 5.8-inch display that is same as that of the entry-level variant. But, the Galaxy S10 Plus would have a bigger 6.2-inch display. It strengthens the rumors related to launching of three phones together.

Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus Design and Display
The Samsung Galaxy S10 is rumored to have three different screen sizes. It will have a 19:9 aspect ratio with a resolution of 1440 x 3040 pixels. The Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus will have a bigger 6.4-inch display with the same resolution. However, one rumor puts the display size of the Galaxy S10 Plus as 6.2-inches. It makes us uncertain about the actual display size for a bigger variant of the Samsung Galaxy S10.
Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus Camera
The Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus is expected to come with three lenses on the rear side and two lenses on the front. The rear camera system consists of a 12MP lens, a 16MP lens, and a 13MP lens. We can expect two wide angled and one telephoto lens in S10 Plus.
Similarly, leaks of Samsung Galaxy S10 suggest that the phone will come with a dual or triple lens rear camera and a dual-lens front camera. Rumors suggest that the base model of the Galaxy S10 series might have a single-lens rear camera and the middle model might have a dual-lens camera in the backside.
Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus Power and Performance
Both Samsung Galaxy S10 and Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus would have an Exynos 9820 octa-core chipset for a better performance. The Galaxy S10 will come with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and the Galaxy S10 Plus would have up to 12GB RAM. With UFS 3.0 storage, we can expect a faster storage in both these devices.
Both the phones are said to be run on Android 9.0 (Pie). Rumors suggest that the Galaxy S10 will have 3,500 mAh battery, whereas the Galaxy S10 Plus may contain slightly bigger 3,700 mAh battery. Quick Charging feature will be there to make the devices charged soon!
Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus Fingerprint Scanner
The Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus is said to have an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint scanner. OnePlus 6T and Huawei’s Mate 20 Pro have already such scanners. So we can expect an advanced scanner from this device. The Samsung Galaxy S10 may also have an in-screen fingerprint scanner.
It is fair to mention that no phone in this duo would have a foldable display. We can expect that the ultra-modern variant of the Samsung Galaxy S10 series may have it.
Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus (Expected) Price in India
Samsung has not officially declared the price range for its upcoming S-series phones, but as per the rumors, the base model with the lowest RAM and storage will cost around $650. Whereas, Samsung Galaxy S10 and Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus may cost you anywhere between $700 to $1000.
In India, the launch date for the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 Plus is expected as February 6, 2019. The costs of both these variants are rumored to remain INR 61,900 for the Galaxy S10 and INR 67,990 for the Galaxy S10 Plus.
