Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G Processor Launch, Got Kryo 670 CPU Support
Qualcomm has launched its new mobile chipset Snapdragon 778G. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor is the company’s latest 5G processor that will make its way between the Snapdragon 750G and the Snapdragon 780G. The Snapdragon 778G is specifically designed for a better multimedia experience.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor is an upgraded version of the Snapdragon 768G launched in May last year. Realme has also confirmed that Realme Quicksilver will be the world’s first phone to be launched with this processor. Apart from this, Honor has also said that it will use Snapdragon 778G processor in the Honor 50 series.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G Processor Features
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor built on a 6nm process. Qualcomm claims that the Snapdragon 778G will get twice as much Artificial Intelligence support as the Snapdragon 768G. According to Qualcomm’s official statement, Snapdragon 778G will be made available in the market in the second quarter of 2021. Companies like Honor, iQoo, Motorola, Oppo, Realme, and Xiaomi will use it in their smartphones.
Other features of Snapdragon 778G include Adreno 642L GPU for graphics, which is claimed to be 40% faster and better performance than before. It has a low-power hexagon 770 processor for better performance of CPU and GPU.
The Snapdragon 778G also features Qualcomm’s Spectra 570L Triple Image Signal Processor (ISP). It is claimed that it can handle triple-lens with a 22-megapixel resolution. It also has support for wide, ultra-wide, zoom, and 4K HDR10 + video recording.
Snapdragon 778G has Snapdragon X53 5G modem with support for mmWave and sub-6 5G network. It also has a FastConnect 6700 connectivity system for multi-gigabyte Wi-Fi 6 support with speeds up to 2.9Gbps. This chipset supports Wi-Fi 6 / 6E, 5G, and Bluetooth v5.2. It also has support for GPS, Glonass, BeiDou, Galileo, QZSS, and NavIC for location.
