Hyundai has launched the 2022 Creta facelift SUV in South America late on Wednesday. The Creta SUV has been launched in Brazil and Argentina in the second generation avatar. The SUV has received many updates in terms of design and technology.
New 2022 Hyundai Creta Facelift Safety Features
The biggest update has been seen in the safety features of the SUV. Hyundai has introduced its blind sport monitoring camera display on the digital instrument console. This system alerts the driver to any oncoming vehicle. In addition, the system works even in situations when cyclists, pedestrians, or other vehicles are ahead and applies autonomous braking to prevent collisions without the help of drivers.
New 2022 Hyundai Creta Facelift Engine
The 2022 Creta facelift will be available to the SUV with two powertrain options. The first three variants get a 1.0-liter Turbo GDI direct fuel injection engine, which generates 120 hp power and 171 Nm maximum torque output. The top-of-the-line Ultimate version comes with an aspirated SmartStream 2.0-liter engine that churns out 167 hp.
Hyundai has also included a feature called Left Convergence Detection in the 2022 Creta facelift, along with an autonomous braking system that, if the shift signal for the left lane is activated, risks collision with an approaching vehicle from the adjacent lane in the opposite direction. Alerts when. If this risk continues, the brakes are automatically applied.
New 2022 Hyundai Creta Facelift Design
The 2022 Creta facelift was launched with four trims, with a front grille exclusive to Brazil in a hexagonal format. Depending on the variants, it may come with horizontal bars or “cascade” elements made in silver or chrome. LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL) are also available as standard across all variants. However, the LED headlamp and flashlight are available only in the top-spec trim.

The interiors of the SUV have not received any major updates as compared to the model already available in India. It gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 7-inch digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, and steering-mounted drive mode selector with Normal, Smart, Eco, and Sport options. The alloy wheels in the SUV are offered with size options of 16-inch, 17-inch, or 18-inch. However, the diamond cut design has been made available only with 17-inch and 18-inch options.
When launched in India
Hyundai Creta was launched in India in the year 2015. It received a lot of love from Indian customers and remains the company’s best-selling mid-size SUV. Last year, the company launched the new generation Hyundai Creta in India. The company has not yet shared any official information regarding the launch of the 2022 Creta facelift version in the Indian market. But the company can launch this popular SUV in a new avatar in India next year.
