Mercedes-Benz India’s campaign to introduce new models in India continues. The company on Thursday launched two AMG models – E63 S and E 53 – in the country. The company says that both these cars are for those who aspire to drive a performance vehicle.

Mercedes AMG E 53 and new AMG E 63S Price in India

The Mercedes AMG E 53 model has been launched in India for the first time and its initial ex-showroom price has been fixed at Rs 1.02 crore. At the same time, the ex-showroom price of the new AMG E 63S (AMG E 63S) in India is Rs 1.70 crore.

Mercedes offers a total of 11 products in India including the 35, 43, 53, 63, and GT series. With the addition of the AMG E 53 4M+ and AMG E 63 S 4M+ to its product portfolio, Mercedes aims to maintain its lead in the luxury performance car segment in the country.

Mercedes AMG E 53 and new AMG E 63S Features

High-quality materials have been used in the interiors of the new AMG vehicles. The seats are given Nappa leather upholstery and the front seat backrest has an AMG-specific seat upholstery layout with an “AMG” badge. The MBUX infotainment system with touchscreen and touchpad gets intelligent voice control plus an AMG-specific display and settings. Standard individually-adjustable ambient lighting is also available. The instrument cluster gets three AMG display styles – Modern Classic, Sport, and SuperSport.

Other Features

The AMG E 63S gets AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive as standard which provides torque distribution across the front and rear axles. The E 63S Sporty model gets six drive programs – Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport+, Individual, and Race, while the E 53 gets five drive programs – Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport+, Individual.

The Mercedes AMG E53 gets a 3.0-liter 6-cylinder engine with Mercedes’ EQ Boost mild hybrid system. This performance sedan car generates power of 430 hp and a peak torque of 520 Nm. Transmission options with this engine are available with a 9-speed gearbox. The company claims that this car can accelerate to 100kmph in 4.4 seconds.

The new Mercedes AMG E 63S gets a 4.0-liter V8 Biturbo engine. This engine generates power of 603 hp and torque of 850 Nm. This engine is mated to a 9-speed automatic gearbox. At the same time, the company says that this model accelerates to 100kmph in just 3.3 seconds.

Mercedes AMG E 53 and new AMG E 63S Design

These AMG vehicles from Mercedes get a new styling front section with an AMG-specific radiator grille and flat LED headlamps. The central cooling air inlet in the completely restyled front section is much larger than before. The rear of the car has also been updated. The rear section gets two new and flat taillights which now extend to the boot lid. The AMG E 63S gets new 20-inch 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels as standard, while the AMG E 53 4M+ gets 19-inch light-alloy wheels in an aerodynamically optimized 5-twin-spoke design Huh. Mercedes has also expanded the range of exterior colors with Graphite Gray Metallic, Mojave Silver Metallic, and Hi-Tech Silver Metallic.
