Maruti Vitara Brezza CNG Variant Details

Maruti Suzuki is planning to expand its CNG product portfolio in the coming months. The Indo-Japanese carmaker is working on CNG variants of its three popular models Swift, Dzire, and Vitara Brezza. The specifications of the upcoming Maruti Vitara Brezza CNG were leaked on the internet. As per the leaked document, the model will come with a 1.4-liter K15B petrol engine with a factory-fitted CNG kit. There may be a slight drop in the power and torque output of the car.

The Maruti Vitara Brezza will generate 91 bhp of maximum power and 122Nm of torque in the CNG variant. The petrol model of the SUV generates a power of 103 bhp and a torque of 138 Nm. The CNG kit can be offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Like other CNG cars from Maruti Suzuki, it will also get a dual interdependent ECU and intelligent injection system. With this CNG kit, the weight of the car will make a difference. Changes can also be made in its suspension setup and braking system.

The company says that “S-CNG cars are designed to deliver optimum performance, safety, engine durability, features, and superior mileage.” At present, the carmaker has not disclosed the launch details of the Maruti Vitara Brezza CNG variant. The company is preparing to launch the new generation Maruti Celerio which will come with the same 1.0-liter petrol engine as the WagonR and will give power of 83 bhp. Apart from this, extensive design and feature upgrades will be seen in the car.

After the new Celerio, the carmaker will bring in the second generation Maruti Vitara Brezza which is expected to be launched in early 2022. The compact SUV will be mated to the new BS-VI standard with the existing petrol powertrain.

If reports are to be believed, the company can also launch it with a 1.5-liter diesel engine. The same diesel engine will also be offered in the new XL6 MPV, Ciaz sedan, and Ertiga MPV. It will get a 6-speed automatic gearbox instead of the existing 4-speed automatic transmission.
