Jio Subscribers Crosses 37 Crores, Earnings Grow After IUC
Reliance Industries Limited has declared third-quarter results. The company said that the consolidated net profit for the third quarter of 2019-20 was Rs 11,640 crore, which is 13.5% higher than the previous year. At the same time, Jio has also gained a bump in the third quarter.
Reliance Industries Limited in its results said that as of 31 December, the number of Jio subscribers has crossed the 37 crore mark. Jio has added 13.57 million subscribers in the last 12 months, while one crore 48 lakh new customers have been added in the last quarter.
Jio’s User (ARPU) per subscriber average revenue per month during the quarter was Rs 128.4 as compared to Rs 127.5 in the previous quarter. Jio has become the net recipient of the access fee within 2 months of the IUC tariff being implemented.
In this quarter, Jio customers have used a total of 1,208 million GB of data, which is 39.9 percent more than the previous quarter. At the same time, Jio users have talked 82,640 million minutes in this quarter, which means that there has been an increase of 30.3 percent in this quarter. In this quarter, Jio customers have used an average of 11.1 GB of data every month.
