South Korean carmaker Hyundai has officially the new Hyundai Casper Cheapest micro SUV launched in South Korea, updating its vehicle portfolio. This is the smallest SUV ever introduced by the company, which has been introduced in the South Korean market. The company has kept the starting price of this SUV at 13,850,000 Won (Rs 8.64 lakh).
The Hyundai Casper is a car based on the company’s (K1) platform. In the past, pictures of this SUV were becoming increasingly viral on the internet. At the same time, media reports were also being talked about introducing this SUV in India. However, till now the company has not given any official indication about this.
Hyundai Casper Size
The length of this SUV is 3,595 mm, width 1,595 mm, and height 1,575 mm, while it has a wheelbase of 2,400 mm. Its ground clearance is also very good, although no figure has been given about it yet. In terms of size, it is slightly shorter in length than the Santro hatchback, which measures 3,610mm in length.
Hyundai Casper Look
The new Hyundai Casper has been given a funky and compact look by the company. Upfront, it gets a gloss black grille and circular headlamps with LED daytime running lights. The side profile gets alloy wheels, roof rails, and LED tail lamps at the rear. It gets an attractive dashboard with the 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 4.2-inch digital instrument cluster, an electric sunroof, air purifier, ADAS technology with 7 airbags. It also gets Android Auto, Apple Car Play, and Hyundai’s BlueLink connectivity.
Hyundai Casper Engine
This SUV comes with two petrol engines. In one of its variants, the company has given a naturally aspirated MPI engine of 1.0-liter capacity. Which generates more power of 76 PS, while the other variant was given a 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine which generates power of 100 PS. This engine comes with a 4-speed automatic gearbox.
Will the Hyundai Casper be launched in India?
Looking at the size and price of the Hyundai Casper, it was being speculated that this micro SUV would be launched in India as well. However, no indication has been given by the company about this yet. It is being told in the latest reports that in the future, the company may introduce a new micro SUV for the Indian market, which will directly compete with the Tata Punch.
