The South Korean automaker will launch the much-awaited new 6 and 7-seater Hyundai Alcazar SUV in India on June 18, 2021. Hyundai announced a day back on Wednesday that the bookings for its upcoming Hyundai Alcazar SUV have officially started across all its dealerships. Customers wishing to buy this SUV can book this car by paying an amount of Rs 25,000. The Hyundai Alcazar SUV was showcased in a completely covered form in the month of April. Since then the news of its launch remained in the headlines. The official launch of Alcazar was postponed due to the second wave of the Corona epidemic in India. Now it is officially confirmed that Hyundai Alcazar is launching on the 18th of this month.

Based on the hugely successful Creta SUV in India, Alcazar wants to replicate the success of its small SUV in terms of size. Hyundai says that the Alcazar has been tailored for the Indian customers and the Indian market is where the car is being launched before any other market. Hyundai officials say that this could attract new customers as well as buyers looking to upgrade from Creta.

Hyundai Alcazar 6 and 7 Seater SUV Variants and Colors

The Alcazar will be available in three variants – Prestige, Platinum, and Signature. It is being offered in petrol and diesel engines and in 6 and 7-seat layouts. The Alcazar 6 will come in single-tone and two dual-tone color options. There are single-tone color options including Phantom Black, Polar White, Starry Night, Taiga Brown, Titan Gray, and Typhoon Silver. At the same time, its dual-tone color options include Polar White with Phantom Black roof and Titan Grey with Phantom Black roof.

According to Hyundai, the three-row SUV-Alcazar “has been developed by combining space, premiumness, performance, convenience, safety, and technology.” According to the automaker, 75.6% high-strength steel has been used to make the body of the Alcazar SUV, making it very strong. the ring structure is given in the B and D-pillar and the engine room of the SUV gives it better stability and handling. The biggest strength of the Hyundai Alcazar can be the ride comfort and features offered by the SUV. Hyundai says that the hydraulic rebound stopper in the front strut promises better rebound control which, in turn, is sure to deliver a smoother riding experience. Apart from this, the Alcazar gets three drive modes – Eco, City, and Sport mode. According to the company, it will offer a different driving experience.

Engine, Mileage, Speed

The Alcazar will be offered two engine options. The first is the third generation Nu 2-litre petrol engine and the second is the U2 1.5-liter diesel engine. In this, the petrol engine generates torque of 159 PS and 191 Nm, while the diesel engine generates torque of 115 PS and 250 Nm. The option of either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox can be available with both engines. Hyundai claims that the 6-speed automatic unit, in particular, will deliver better performance and higher mileage due to the super flat torque converter. Because it reduces the loss of fuel during acceleration. The company claims that the new Alcazar SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100KMPH in just 10 seconds.

Many new features are going to be available in the Hyundai Alcazar SUV. The car gets a large 10.25-inch infotainment screen, 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, air purifier, voice recognition with BlueLink connectivity, panoramic sunroof, 6 airbags, vehicle stability management, Isofix mounted seats, hill start, anti Expect a lot of features like Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD).
