Honda City Hybrid: Honda Cars India has announced that it will launch a new Hybrid car in India in the new year. The company will launch a hybrid model of its best-selling sedan car, Honda City. Honda first introduced the City Hybrid in Malaysia. According to the report, the company has recently launched this car in Thailand. Now Honda is preparing to launch this car in India soon. Honda city hybrid Engine
The new Honda City Hybrid has a 1.5-liter i-VTEC petrol engine. This engine is equipped with an electric motor. The car has two electric motors, one of which starts the motor engine and the other one delivers power to the motor wheels. In the car, the company has used the smallest version of the i-MMD (Intelligent Multi-Mode Drive) hybrid system. The electric motor of the car generates 108 PS power and maximum torque of 253 Nm. The 1.5L Atkinson-cycle DOHC i-VTEC engine generates 98 PS of power and a peak torque of 127 Nm. The Honda City Hybrid car has a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The company claims that this car can give a mileage of 25.64 kilometers per liter.
Design and Look
The honeycomb grille, LED headlights, LED DRLs (daytime running lights) are available on the front of the Honda City Hybrid car. Updated front bumpers and diffusers are provided in the rear of the car. Along with this, the car gets 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.
The Honda Sport Hybrid offers steering wheel paddles. This car has features such as a 7-inch instrument cluster display, 7 inches advanced touch screen audio system. Apart from this, the car gets an automatic high beam, electronic parking brake, adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, lane centering assist and Honda’s Len watch blind-spot camera.
The new Honda City Hybrid offers a lot of safety features. The car also gets a CMBS braking system along with safety features such as a collision warning system, 6 airbags, ABS / EBD braking system, road assist, a rearview camera, hill start assist, emergency stop signal, ISOFIX, and child anchor.
Price and Launch
The company launched Honda City Hybrid in Thailand at 839,000 (Thai baht). According to Bharat Mudra, this amount is about 20.5 lakh rupees. But according to the report, Honda City Hybrid can be launched in India before the festive season of 2021. In India, the price of this car can be kept around 15 to 18 lakh rupees.
