Honda has launched the Honda City e:HEV Hybrid, a hybrid electric vehicle model of its popular car Honda City in India. Honda City Hybrid has now become the most fuel-efficient mid-size sedan in the country. The company claims that this car runs 26.5kms on one liter of petrol. The direct competition of Honda City is from Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Hyundai Verna, and Skoda Slavia. However, the latest Honda City Hybrid has no competition with any car in terms of technology.
Honda City e:HEV Hybrid is the first authentic hybrid car in the Indian car market. Maruti Suzuki’s Ciaz comes in a hybrid option that helps the petrol motor to increase the mileage. The Honda City e:HEV Hybrid is powered by two motors, which are mated to a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine. It generates 117 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. This sedan car generates energy when braking. Along with this, a self-charged lithium-ion battery back has been given in the car which does not require manual charging.

Many safety features have been given in Honda City Hybrid. Honda sensing technology has been used in these. This is the first car to be launched in India with Honda Sensing. Along with this, features like Collision Mitigation Braking System, Road Departure Mitigation, Auto High Beam, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Lane Keep Assist are available in the car. Along with this, all the four tires of the car get a disc brake, hill hold assist, parking hold, lane watch camera, multi-angle review camera, ABS – EBD, and six airbags.

The latest in the design of the Honda City Hybrid is similar to that of the Honda City. Although the front and back of this car have been given a blue-colored H mark, which shows that it is a hybrid car. Along with this, this car has got new black diamond-cut alloy wheels, a new tronk lip spore, new rear bumper which comes with a carbon finish.
