2021 BMW 6 Series GT: In an effort to increase its market share in the luxury car segment in India, BWM is offering several products one after the other. After launching new products such as 2-Series and M340i xDrive, Germany’s luxury car manufacturer has now launched the new 6 Series Gran Turismo GT in the country. The new car, which updated the BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo, was introduced to the international market last year. And now this car has been launched in the Indian market. The style of the updated model shows a newness. Along with this, a lot of new features have also been added to it.
2021 BMW 6 Series GT Features
The 2021 BMW 6 Series features a 12.3-inch touchscreen system with the latest generation’s iDrive interface. Other features found in this SUV include a fully digital instrument cluster, four-zone automatic climate control system, panoramic sunroof, five riding modes (Comfort, Sport, Comfort Plus, Eco Pro, and Adaptive), two rear with 10.2-inch screen Features such as seat entertainment system, wireless charging, electrically adjustable front seats with memory function, parking and reversing assist are included.
2021 BMW 6 Series GT 3 Engine Options and Power
The BMW 6 Series GT facelift gets the same engines used in the previous model. It gets the 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine (630i) from the previous model, the 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine (620d), and the 3.0-liter 6-cylinder diesel engine (630d). The 630i offers 255 bhp power and 400 Nm peak torque. While the 620d variant gets 188 bhp power and 400 Nm.
On the other hand, where the BMW 630d 6-cylinder engine model generates power of 261 bhp and a peak torque of 620 Nm. While the BMW 630i and 620d are available with an 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission, the more powerful 630d is available with a combination of an 8-speed Steptronic sport automatic transmission. This coupe-sedan car offers two-axle air suspension as standard to improve ride quality.
2021 BMW 6 Series GT Speed
These three variants of the 2021 BMW 6 Series GT get tremendous acceleration. The 630i variant can accelerate from 0 to 100 km per hour in just 6.5 seconds. The 620d variant takes just 7.9 seconds to catch a speed of 0 to 100 km per hour. At the same time, the 630d variant can run from 0 to 100 km per hour in just 6.1 seconds.
2021 BMW 6 Series GT Design
It has a newly designed ‘kidney’ grill. The new grille gets sleek and adaptive LED headlights. The new model features redesigned air intakes in the new front and rear bumpers. Which gives the new 6 GT a more bold and aggressive look than before. Other design changes made to the car include the sliding roofline, taillights, and notchback tailgate similar to the previous model.
2021 BMW 6 Series GT Price
BMW’s updated 6 Series Gran Tourismo (GT) has an initial ex-showroom price in India at Rs 67.90 lakh. Which goes up to Rs 77.90 lakh for the top model. If you look at its price based on the variants, the price of the 2021 BMW 6 Series GT 630i M Sport variant is Rs 67.90 lakhs. At the same time, the price of the 620d Luxury Line has been fixed at Rs 68.9 lakhs and the price of 630d M Sport is Rs 77.9 lakhs. All these prices are ex-showroom India.
This means that the new Gran Turismo has not been significantly more expensive than the previous 6 Series GT which used to start at 65.9 lakhs for the 630i luxury line trim.
